Main Screen

The Missing Sync for Windows Mobile presents everything you need to know about your connection and what plugins are set to run, along with their status. Activate or deactivate plugins; double-click to change settings. Even the battery charge level of your device is shown.

Calendar Events Plugin Settings

Each plugin offers settings to customize syncing to your needs. For example, the Events plugin allows you to sync or overwrite the device, choose to sync all or only selected calendars and how far back in the calendar to go.

Notes Plugin Settings

The Notes plugin lets you choose with which of several Mac apps you want to sync notes from your device. Choose to sync all or only certain categories.

Music Plugin Settings

It's easy to select which iTunes playlists to copy to your device. Just check those you want on your device, and The Missing Sync will download the corresponding unprotected music and podcasts during the next sync.

Photos Plugin Settings

The Photos plugin gives you two capabilities: Resize and download photos to your device, and import photos taken with a device-side camera into iPhoto or the Finder. You can select iPhoto albums to download, whether or not to resize them and where they should go. You can also choose where to import photos from the device, either into an iPhoto album or a Finder folder of your choice.

Mac OS X Call Log Application

Access your device's call history on your Mac. The Missing Sync grabs the data and loads it up in the included Call Log application for Mac OS X.

Mac OS X SMS Log Application

SMS messages are backed up to the Mac during sync operations, where they can now be viewed using the included SMS Log application.

Install View

To install files or applications in Windows Cabinet (CAB) format, simply drag them to The Missing Sync, and they will be queued. If your device is connected, files will begin copying immediately, and a progress bar provides status.

General Preferences

Activate sync reminders or automatic checking for updates in the Preferences screen.

Install Preferences

To determine where files get installed on your device, click the Install Files tab in the Preferences window to set destinations based on file type. For example, GIFs and JPGs are sent to the My Pictures folder by default. Change the default settings or even add your own mappings.

Shop View

You can even shop for Windows Mobile apps from within The Missing Sync application. All Windows Mobile apps in the Mark/Space Store can be installed using The Missing Sync's install feature.
